There are plenty of ways to get involved with us as a group, and for most of them you don’t even
have to be a member to muck in! Whilst there are obvious benefits to membership outlined here,
we’re always looking for help backstage or front of house to help keep our productions flowing
smoothly.
If you’re interested in theatre set building/shifting, sorting stage props for a production, prompting or
perhaps operating the sound or lighting cues, you can head over to our auditions page which has the
director’s contact details for each production. If you let them know you’re interested in helping, they’ll
get back to you if there’s an opportunity. If you’re unsure if you want to get in touch with a specific
director, you can always email contactus@dewsburyartsgroup.info instead and we’ll pass on your details to anyone needing help.
Likewise, if it’s front of house you’re interested in, be it either ushing, making teas and coffee’s, working behind the bar or even managing theatre security during productions, let us know! We’re always on the lookout for more people to help with this aspect of hospitality, it’s often undersubscribed despite being a
vital part of every production. If you want to volunteer for any of these roles, get in touch with our Front of House Supervisor at mandm90@btinternet.com, or at the contact us email as above.
Finally, if all of the above seems a bit daunting, then just buying tickets for our main house productions, exhibitions and events helps support us a great deal, and lets us keep bringing quality theatre and art to the public! In fact, if you plan on coming to every production, why not become a season ticket holder? Below you’ll find a link on how to do so, as well as pages detailing membership, visual arts and youth classes. We also have a contact us page should you have any questions.
